PinkRoccade has taken over UniXS Solutions' activities in the field of mobile Electronic Patient Filing (in Dutch: Elektronische Patiënten Dossiers or EPD) for the home care and psychiatry markets. PinkRoccade, since many years one of the major suppliers in the health care market, already collaborated with UniXS in the field of mobile applications. The full range of health market services they set up together will now be offered by PinkRoccade alone. UniXS will be discontinued, and in addition to its activities part of its staff has been transferred to PinkRoccade. This move is in agreement with PinkRoccades conception of the development of chain-oriented EPDs. PinkRoccade has supplied electronic filing systems for hospitals, GPs and the psychiatry and geriatrics markets for many years. But the demand for IT-supported systems for use in the patient's home has increased dramatically, especially in the home care, psychiatry and geriatrics markets.
Home care
Mobile applications for the home care market will enable field staff, while in the patient's home, to register the treatment planned or completed using a pocket PC (PDA), which will also allow them to check their work plans. These PDAs store the data entered and transfer it automatically using mobile data connections (GPRS). At the office, managers can use their Internet applications to check which staff is helping which patients, which treatments are given and how much time this takes. Likewise, field staff can use their PDAs to check any changes in their work plans. Finally, these mobile applications are connected with the institution's registration and planning systems, which in their turn are connected with its central care registration and invoicing systems. These integrated mobile services are offered on a subscription basis, to all home care institutions in the Netherlands.
Psychiatry
For the psychiatry market PinkRoccade supplies the PSYGIS/Mobiel system, a mobile filing system connected with the integrated PSYGIS patient information system. With it, mental care staff can use their PDAs to check, change, add and share administrative and medical information. PinkRoccade operates the entire system, thus offering a complete and safe mobile service.
