Eindhoven, 7 augustus 2002 – Micromuse, leverancier van fault management- en service assurance-software, maakt de financiële resultaten bekend voor het derde fiscale kwartaal dat eindigt op 30 juni 2002. In lijn met de voorlopige resultaten, is de omzet voor het kwartaal uitgekomen op 35 miljoen dollar. De pro forma winst voor het kwartaal, exclusief de afschrijving van goodwill en andere immateriële activa, is uitgekomen op 408 duizend dollar of 0.01 dollarcent per aandeel. Het nettoverlies, inclusief de afschrijving van goodwill en andere immateriële activa voor dit kwartaal, is 979 duizend dollar of 0.01 dollarcent per aandeel.
Opmerkelijk voor het derde kwartaal 2002
- Cash, cashequivalenten en investeringen stegen dit kwartaal met 5.7 miljoen dollar tot een totaal van 194.4 miljoen dollar.
- Uitgestelde omzet is opeenvolgend toegenomen tot 38.9 miljoen dollar
- Voor de derde achtereenvolgende keer is de Days Sales Outstanding (DSOs) afgenomen tot 60 dagen.
- De Netcool® for Security Management oplossing heeft een aantal nieuwe klanten opgeleverd.
- Van de nieuwe gebruikers bevindt 60% zich in het enterprise segment van de markt, inclusief enkele voorname opdrachtgevers uit de financiële dienstverlening en onderwijs, en uit de lokale, provinciale en federale niveaus van de publieke sector.
- Aankopen door bestaande klanten vertegenwoordigd 75% van de totale omzet.
"Het juni kwartaal was een van de meest uitdagende dat ons bedrijf tot nu toe heeft meegemaakt, met het aanhouden van de ongekende druk op de telecom sector. Met dit gegeven, voorzien wij een opvolgende daling van de omzet voor het september kwartaal," aldus Greg Brown, bestuursvoorzitter en CEO van Micromuse. "Op hetzelfde moment komen 60% van onze nieuwe klanten in het derde kwartaal uit het enterprise segment, waarmee de voordelen zichtbaar zijn van onze doorlopende aandacht voor het uitbreiden van onze aanwezigheid in het enterprise segment. Daarbij hebben we in het derde kwartaal het initiatief genomen om ons marktleiderschap te verstevigen met het verlengen van het overnamebod op RiverSoft."
