Eindhoven, 3 juli 2002 - Micromuse en Sun kondigen de integratie aan van Micromuse Netcool/OMNIbus met Sun's Sun Management Center. Netcool/OMNIbus is de spil in het productaanbod van Micromuse. Deze integratie betekent een uitbreiding van de bewakingsmogelijkheden van Netcool in de Sun omgeving. Het biedt de mogelijkheid om vanuit één enkele locatie wereldwijde complexe IT omgevingen te beheren, waarbij tevens de beschikbaarheid van de meest kritische diensten gewaarborgd wordt.
De eerste versie van de integratie geeft IT-verantwoordelijken de mogelijkheid om het beheer van IT-infrastructuren te centraliseren en consolideren. De integratie brengt alle Sun Management Center meldingen in kaart en stuurt deze rechtstreeks door naar het Netcool console. Hier worden ze direct gefilterd en kunnen ze gezamenlijk met andere status informatie verder geanalyseerd worden. Op deze manier bestaat de mogelijkheid meerdere Sun Management Centers te bewaken door middel van één Netcool console.

Sun Microsystems' Professional Services groep verkoopt, integreert en ondersteunt de Micromuse Netcool oplossingen.
