Baan appoints Marc Sorée as Country Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg
Voorthuizen, The Netherlands - May 23, 2002 - Baan, the leading enterprise application provider for industrial enterprises and part of Invensys plc, has appointed Marc Sorée to the position of Country Manager Baan Belgium and Luxembourg.
Sijmon van den Berg, Manager Baan Benelux, explains: "Belgium and Luxembourg still have a fair amount of potential in particular niches, on which Baan is specifically concentrating. Furthermore, we are convinced that these markets will be better served if we assign a local team and a specific point of contact to them. Marc Sorée comes to Baan as a Country Manager with wide experience of direct and indirect sales, and with a profound knowledge of the market. We are convinced that he will be able to take full advantage of the potential of the Belgium and Luxembourg market for Baan."
Marc Sorée will develop a dedicated sales organization for the Belgium and Luxembourg area and will work on enhancing the relationships with the Baan resellers in Belgium.
Before his appointment at Baan, Marc Sorée was Manager Business Development Channels at Siebel, where he was responsible for the monitoring of Siebel's indirect sales in Northern Europe. Marc Sorée has lengthy experience of direct and indirect sales, previously acquired at Selligent, BMC Software and Novell.
