Bedrijven als BlazeMeter, ClearDB, Iron.io, MongoLab, New Relic, Redis Labs, SendGrid en Shippable leveren hun oplossingen aan klanten en ontwikkelaars via de OpenShift Marketplace
San Francisco, Red Hat Summit, 15 april 2014 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, introduceert vandaag OpenShift Marketplace. Met deze one-stop shop kunnen klanten - groot en klein - oplossingen voor hun cloud-applicaties vinden en uitproberen. De OpenShift Online-klanten kunnen de voordelen van enterprise PaaS ervaren met complementaire oplossingen die voor de public cloud zijn ontwikkeld.
Red Hat beoogt met OpenShift Marketplace de tijd en kosten te verminderen, die gepaard gaan met het vinden van de perfecte oplossing voor klanten die op zoek zijn naar value-added OpenShift partner add-ons. Klanten hebben nu eenvoudig toegang tot de benodigde informatie en tools om de geschikte oplossing aan te schaffen. Vanaf een locatie hebben ze toegang tot OpenShift applicatietechnologieën en kunnen deze beheren. Klanten en ontwikkelaars kunnen eenvoudig zoeken naar OpenShift-oplossingen en add-ons van derden, inclusief database, e-mail delivery services en het monitoren van applicatieprestaties die allemaal worden beheerd vanuit een centrale locatie. Verschillende OpenShift-partners tekenden al voor het toevoegen van hun oplossingen aan de OpenShift Marketplace, waaronder BlazeMeter, ClearDB, Iron.io, MongoLab, New Relic, Redis Labs, SendGrid en Shippable.
Netwerk van OpenShift-klanten en -ontwikkelaars
Naarmate meer ontwikkelaars enterprise PaaS gebruiken voor een toenemend aantal applicaties, is een robuust partnerecosysteem essentieel. Het huidige partnerecosysteem gebruikt de OpenShift Cartridge specificatiemethode om technologieën en diensten te koppelen aan applicaties die op OpenShift gebouwd zijn. Hierdoor hebben klanten toegang tot een verscheidenheid aan oplossingen van cloud-marktleiders. De OpenShift Marketplace is een ideaal platform om klanten en ontwikkelaars te bereiken en ISV's kunnen daar hun oplossingen en marketingmateriaal tonen. Daarnaast kunnen complete transacties in een paar eenvoudige stappen worden voltooid.
Beschikbaarheid
De OpenShift Marketplace zal in de komende weken beschikbaar zijn in alle regio's met de OpenShift Online public PaaS service. ISV's die interesse hebben in deelname aan de OpenShift Marketplace kunnen een preview proberen of een e-mail sturen naar openshift-partners@redhat.com voor meer informatie.
