AMSTELVEEN, 1 april 2008 – HP kondigt aan dat ze een overeenkomst heeft gesloten met Marriott International Inc. om HP Halo telepresence oplossingen toegankelijk te maken voor publiek gebruik. Deze oplossing gaat geboden worden in wereldwijd geselecteerde Marriott hotels in grote business centra.
HP en Marriott willen het voor iedereen mogelijk maken om met elkaar, waar dan ook ter wereld gezeten, in een identieke omgeving te vergaderen, waarbij het ervaren wordt alsof men aan dezelfde tafel zit. De deelnemers zien elkaar in werkelijke grootte op hoge resolutie schermen geprojecteerd en kunnen communiceren zonder merkbare vertragingen, ongeacht hoever ze van elkaar verwijderd zijn.
De specifieke locaties zullen op een later tijdstip bekendgemaakt worden.

HP Halo Telepresence Solutions at select Marriott hotels will allow the public to take advantage of all the business benefits that Halo offers without the upfront investment. This includes the ability to seamlessly collaborate face to face with multiple companies around the globe at one time, easily share content and ultimately make decisions faster.
Marriott will use the HP Halo Meeting Room edition, which is specifically designed for installation inside an existing conference room space. Marriott customers will benefit from Halo’s fully managed service, which includes 24x7 Halo Concierge support, and access to the Halo Video Exchange Network, which is essential to providing a no-perceived delay, “same room” collaboration experience.
