- Industry veteran Peter Calis appointed to oversee Hopling Technologies global sales unit and country organizations.

Almere, December 6, 2006 - Hopling Technologies, a fast growing technology leader in IP-based wireless networking equipment for enterprises, operators and service providers, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Peter Calis as Chief Operating Officer.
Peter Calis will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the global sales unit, including revenue, profit and customer satisfaction in the countries where Hopling Technologies does business. Peter leads the country organizations and the direct sales force, which account for worldwide sales of all Hopling Technologies products and services of several million euros.
Peter joined Hopling Technologies from Global Crossing, where he was senior vice president network & services and deputy managing director of Global Crossing Europe for over 4 years. At Global Crossing, he managed to consistently grow Global Crossing’ fiber business in Europe.
Prior to Global Crossing, Peter worked for Tele2 as managing director where he launched a telephone service, as a competitor of KPN, to the general public in the Netherlands in 1997. Earlier in his career, Peter worked for over 20 years mostly in executive management positions in Philips Business Communications, Philips Advanced Communication Enterprise and Philips Communications Systems.
