PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 12, 2005 - HP today announced that it has been ranked as a "Leader" among 14 vendors invited to participate in a Forrester Research report on the topic of global delivery infrastructure management.(1) Forrester evaluated HP's current offering and strategy for global delivery infrastructure management against 28 criteria, grouped into three high-level areas: Current Offering, Strategy and Market Presence. HP was selected as a Leader based on its proven success in each of these areas.
In particular, Forrester Research cites HP as "an especially good fit for buyers that are looking for a global footprint" and for buyers that "look for an outsourcer with process, security and transformation capabilities."
In the Current Offering area, Forrester Research noted HP's global delivery infrastructure centers, offshore/nearshore staff and network bandwidth as specific areas of strength. The report singles out HP's leadership in IT service management methodologies, evidenced by the number of ITIL consultants HP has trained or acquired. Further, HP achieved the highest weighted score among all vendors in the Strategy area.
"HP's global delivery model underpins how we service clients: we draw on our deep resources to deliver the right services to the customer when and where they need us," said Steve Smith, senior vice president, HP Services. "With HP, companies have a service partner that has the flexibility to meet their changing needs in a way that is consistent and cost-competitive. Our global delivery capabilities play an integral role in achieving our mission to be the best at helping customers manage and transform their IT environments."
