Hopling Technologies, a global leader in wireless networking equipment for enterprises, operators and service providers, today announced its latest edition of the HopWARE software for intelligent hotspot solutions and proven meshed network solutions.
Designed for proven meshed network solutions suitable for hotspots, metropolitan area networks, wireless local area networks, the last mile, wireless connectivity, mobile broadband solutions, video surveillance, IP-based cellular phones (VoIP) and event-based solutions, version 2.3 brings in a wealth of new features.
Version 2.3 includes a number of features to help ease installation and management of a broadband wireless infrastructure for service providers and, in particular, deliver new revenue opportunities and improved profitability for wireless Internet Service Providers.
These additional features include:
- The Virtual Gateway functionality allows a hotspot or meshed network to be segmented into multiple secured networks, giving providers the ability to share an infrastructure and use it for different purposes;
- Extensive Quality of Services for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) enabled telephones based on SIP technology;
- Bandwidth control features to prevent the type of “bandwidth-hogging” that commonly occurs with peer-to-peer file sharing applications, enabling better quality of service;
- Support for the 2.6GHz and 3.5GHz frequency bands, adding even more spectrum available for network operators to deploy broadband wireless systems.
- Support of the latest generation of UMTS cards for mobile backhaul. Thus creating instant mobile Hotspots anyplace anywhere.
