Based on the Intel(r) E8500 chipset, the QX405U and QX610U offer 4-way Intel(r) Xeon(tm) processors MP, PCI Express* I/O technology, support for 400 MHz ECC DDR2 memory technology, twin asymmetric front side buses, and a full complement of RAS features, designed to support high-performance and highly reliable enterprise server environments and future dual-core processors.
The Intel(r) Xeon(tm) processor MP features the Intel NetBurst(r) microarchitecture with Intel(r) Extended Memory 64 Technology (EM64T), Hyper-Threading Technology, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep(tm) Technology, and up to 8Mb of L3 cache, delivering high levels of throughput, performance and headroom for heavy server workloads.
For expandability and ease of service, the Server Platform QX610U is available in a 6U rack con-figuration and supports up to 10 hot-swap Ultra320 SCSI hard drives. The QX405U is a 4U rack configuration and supports up to 5 hot-swap Ultra320 SCSI hard drives.
