De Meern – 13 april, 2005 – Oracle heeft de lancering van zijn Sensor-Based Services initiatief aangekondigd. Het initiatief wordt aangeboden door het Oracle® Partner Netwerk en maakt het voor partners mogelijk om complete RFID-oplossingen te leveren.
Inmiddels hebben 60 partners zich al ingeschreven, waaronder systems integrators (SI’s), independent software vendors (ISV’s) en hardwareverkopers. Het programma biedt partners training, technische en ‘go-to-market’ support, ondersteund door Oracle’s vooraanstaande Sensor-Based Services-technologie. Hiermee biedt Oracle de beste oplossingen in deze categorie aan klanten wereldwijd.

Growing Number of Partners Leverage Oracle Sensor-Based Services Through Oracle PartnerNetwork
Enabling its partners to deliver complete RFID solutions, Oracle today announced the launch of its Sensor-Based Services Initiative offered through the Oracle® PartnerNetwork. With 60 partners -- systems integrators (SIs), independent software vendors (ISVs) and hardware vendors -- already signed up, the program will provide partners with training, technical enablement and go-to-market support, backed by Oracle’s leading Sensor-Based Services technology, to offer best-in-class solutions to customers around the globe.
Oracle Sensor-Based Services’ partners are integral in helping promote customer adoption of RFID and sensor technology. Oracle Sensor-Based Services' partners are integral in helping customers obtain true business value from RFID and sensor technology. The Oracle Sensor-Based Services Initiative enables partners to better exploit new RFID and sensor opportunities in business re-engineering, consulting and solutions implementation by leveraging Oracle’s end-to-end expertise from data capture to information management. Partner benefits of this initiative include:
- The ability to offer end-to-end RFID and sensor-based solutions based on Oracle Sensor-Based Services and the Oracle platform,
- The ability to offer solutions based on Oracle Application Server 10g, Oracle Database 10g, and the Oracle Application suites that incorporate RFID and sensor technology, and
- The opportunity for infrastructure and hardware vendors to benefit from optimized integration with sensor middleware for immediate sensor data capture and management capabilities.
