Almere, March 24, 2005 - Hopling Technologies, a global leader in wireless networking equipment for enterprises, operators and service providers, announced today that the company has been awarded a frame contract by KPN HotSpots, a subsidiary of KPN, to provide wireless broadband Internet Access solutions and support across the Netherlands. Hopling Technologies will supply the Wireless Broadband Internet Access equipment and provide maintenance services and technical support for all wireless products to KPN HotSpots.
KPN HotSpots has selected the Hopling Xspot Gateway because of its functionality, flexibility and, fast and simple installation. The Xspot Gateway is a superior, cost-effective complete solution designed for small to medium-sized public-access hotspot locations.
The Xspot Gateway is the perfect solution for KPN HotSpots fast track record of deploying hotspot locations. Automatic configuration (call home), bandwidth control, virus detection, extensive VPN tunneling allows KPN HotSpots to quickly bring Internet bandwidth to its customers.
The first 300 Xspot Gateways are already installed and in service at all establishments of La Place (restaurants), Total (service stations) and various conference centers and other public places like bars and restaurants.
