New York, 27 September 2004 - Reuters.com, a leading global news and financial information website, has appointed Daniel Bernard as its first ever Global Head of Advertising Development. The creation of the role highlights Reuters increasing focus on the development of its online advertising business.
In his new role, Daniel will work directly with advertisers to understand their goals and develop innovative, customised solutions for them on Reuters global network of websites including Reuters.com. Based in New York, he will work with Reuters clients in the United States and other key markets around the world.
Daniel joins Reuters.com from CBS MarketWatch where, as Director of Advertising Development, he was instrumental in raising the profile of the site as an innovative advertising venue. Prior to this Daniel worked with CBS Corporation where he was a marketing specialist and developed a number of Internet products.
