Compuware Showcases Microsoft .NET Framework-Based Automated Lifecycle Solutions at Microsoft Tech*Ed 2004 Europe Conference
Compuware Previews Test Automation Integration With Microsoft Visual Studio
2005 Team System;
Release of Compuware DevPartner Studio 7.2 Professional Edition
AMSTERDAM--June 29, 2004--Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) today announced at the Microsoft Tech*Ed 2004 Europe Conference (booth #B18) that it is showcasing its Microsoft .NET Framework-based automated lifecycle solutions of its DevPartner, QACenter and Vantage products. Compuware's automated lifecycle solutions enable developers and testers to work together seamlessly to accelerate and improve the delivery and use of high-quality applications.
"We're pleased to have Compuware demonstrate its support of Visual Studio
2005 Team System," said Prashant Sridharan, lead product manager in the .NET Developer Product Management Group at Microsoft Corp. "Compuware's application lifecycle solutions are important to a successful enterprise strategy based on Microsoft technologies, and we anticipate continuing to work closely with them to deliver high value to users."
Compuware is providing a technology demonstration of test automation integration of Compuware TestPartner with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System. Integrating with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System will allow developers to functionally test their application using Compuware TestPartner directly within their development environment and leverage the new capabilities of Visual Studio 2005.
"Compuware shares Microsoft's vision to lower project risk while maximizing productivity through tighter integration," said Mark Eshelby, Compuware QACenter Product Manager. "Compuware QACenter Enterprise Edition, with its built-in Microsoft .NET Framework support, gives developers access to the same testing assets as testers, allowing them to resolve errors more quickly, enhance communication and collaboration and improve application quality in a cost effective way."
Also at Tech*Ed Europe, Compuware will demonstrate the newest version of Compuware DevPartner Studio Professional Edition. Recently released last month, Compuware DevPartner Studio 7.2 Professional Edition continues to support Visual Studio .NET 2003 and 2002, including support for side-by-side operation of both development environments. Among its features are static source code analysis that enforces the ability of development groups to apply the naming conventions put forth in the Microsoft .NET Framework
General Reference Naming Guidelines document, along with the ability to detect code that cannot be executed. These features improve the performance and maintainability of an application across its lifecycle. In addition, developers can now use Compuware DevPartner Studio in conjunction with Microsoft Terminal Services, providing flexibility for developers to analyze and detect errors and performance issues in applications while working remotely.
Compuware will also be showcasing Compuware Vantage, an application service management solution that helps IT organizations manage application performance from the perspective that matters most: the end-user. Response time metrics, integrated with end-to-end performance analysis, enable IT managers to proactively identify and rapidly resolve tough performance problems. By managing applications at the business, transaction and infrastructure level, Compuware Vantage provides the critical insight needed to improve application service and maximize value from application and infrastructure investments. This type of in-depth analysis allows IT operations and developers to effectively communicate application performance problems that are attributed to the application's development. As a result, organizations save time, money and credibility by ensuring application performance excellence.
Compuware application lifecycle solutions enable enterprises to build, test and manage high-quality applications using Microsoft technologies. These solutions work together to deliver value to the mission-critical application enterprises depend on to remain competitive in increasingly complex and demanding business environments.
The Compuware application lifecycle solutions will be shown at booth #B18 during Microsoft Tech*Ed Europe from June 29th through July 2nd.
