Egham, Surrey - January 19, 2004-Siebel Systems today announced the appointment of Neil Weston as President, Europe, Middle-East & Africa (EMEA) Sales, to lead its sales organization in the region.
Neil rejoins Siebel Systems where he was one of the earliest hires in EMEA, originally joining the company in May 1997 and holding the position of Vice President, UK & Northern Europe. Returning to Europe from Australia, Weston brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the company, which includes successful spells at Xerox, Data General and Oracle Corp. in addition to Siebel.

Fred Hessabi, formerly head of EMEA Sales, continues to run Southern Europe and will also take on a new role in developing emerging markets. These markets, across Eastern Europe are defying the economic downturn and are expected to become a major new market for Siebel. Hessabi will continue in his capacity as head of the company in France and will also oversee operations in Italy, Spain and Portugal.
As announced on January 5, 2004, alongside its preliminary results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2003, Siebel has completed its 2003 reorganization and restructuring activities with the realignment of its worldwide sales organization into three geographic operating units - the Americas, Europe Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. Each of these units will be headed by veteran Siebel sales executives with broadened operational responsibilities who will report directly to the CEO.
