(Nasdaq: MUSE), toonaangevend leverancier van business en service assurance software, heeft het OPSEC (Open Platform for Security) certificaat voor haar Netcool productenfamilie ontvangen van Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), wereldwijd marktleider in beveiliging van het Internet. De OPSEC certificering bewijst dat de Netcool oplossingen van Micromuse naadloos geïntegreerd zijn met Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 Next Generation software.
Wanneer ondernemingen de geïntegreerde oplossing gebruiken, kunnen zij events uit Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 oplossing monitoren door gebruik te maken van Netcool Probe for FireWall-1. De Netcool oplossing consolideert meldingen van veiligheidsapparatuur om kritieke events realtime te identificeren. De informatie die verzameld wordt door Netcool Probe for FireWall-1 wordt getoond aan het personeel uit operationele beveiligingscentrums via Netcool's gecentraliseerde bedieningspaneel. Dit biedt een end-to-end overzicht van beide netwerken en events die aan beveiliging gerelateerd zijn.
Bovendien biedt de Netcool oplossing correlatiemogelijkheden om operationeel personeel te helpen de relatie te zien tussen Check Point producten en andere netwerken en beveiligingsevents. Dit omvat events van beveiligingssystemen voor het opsporen van indringers, echtheidssystemen en fysieke surveillancesystemen, evenals IT data verzamelt uit netwerkapparatuur, servers en applicaties.
