RetinaScope BV, based in Purmerend, The Netherlands, develops an easy to use, handheld, retina camera and online platform, working with AI to increase early detection of eye diseases (Diabetic Retinopathy, Age-related Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma). The company was founded in 2018 by Jan Boers, CEO, as a spinout from distribution company IDCP BV. IDCP has also started ventures for R&D in
cooperation with the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow (IDCP Scotland Limited), and for software development (IDCP Solutions BV).
