Riverbed Maintains Leader and Challenger Positions in 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics and the Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring Suites, Respectively
San Francisco – Riverbed®, The Digital Performance Company™, today announced that Gartner has once again positioned Riverbed as a Leader in its 2018 “Magic Quadrant for Network Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics,” marking Riverbed's fifth consecutive year in a Leader position. Over the past year, Riverbed reengineered its NPMD solution and launched its new packet-based AppResponse 11 solution. The Company also delivered significant performance improvements to its flow-based analytics, and integrated EUE (end user experience) Monitoring from SteelCentral Aternity into network troubleshooting workflows, providing a more complete view of the digital user experience. Finally, Riverbed integrated SteelCentral NPMD more fully with Riverbed’s SD-WAN solution SteelConnect – the first and only SD-WAN solution that provides unified connectivity and policy-based orchestration spanning the entire distributed network – hybrid WAN, branch LAN/WLAN, data centers, and the cloud. These coupled with strong go-to-market execution contributed to SteelCentral’s continued leadership position.
Additionally, over the past year, Riverbed SteelCentral continued to deliver innovative functionality to address the increasing challenges faced by companies in monitoring application performance. Riverbed added rich end user experience visibility through integrated endpoint monitoring, coupled with tight integration with application aware network monitoring – both of which deliver significant differentiation versus its competitors. Riverbed SteelCentral also delivers its sophisticated functionality in both SaaS and on-premises delivery modes with a common user interface. Companies found that use cases requiring access to granular transaction trace data, as opposed to sampled or averaged data, were served well by Riverbed’s fine-grained data support in monitoring business critical applications.
