Red Hat kan nu een besturingssysteem (Red Hat Enterprise Linux voor SAP HANA) en hypervisor aanbieden die beide gevalideerd zijn voor het gebruik met SAP HANA-omgevingen. Dit levert voor biedt organisaties die op zoek zijn naar een grotere keuze aan gevirtualiseerde oplossingen, operationele efficiëntie en kostenbesparing een hoger niveau van open standaardisatie op.
Red Hat Virtualization, een virtualisatieoplossing die op een schaalbare, flexibele, Kernel-gebaseerde Virtual Machine (KVM) is gebaseerd, biedt een open, gebruiksvriendelijk en veiliger virtualisatieplatform dat verschillende workloads aankan, waaronder van big data-applicaties en -analyses, zonder uitgebreide aanpassingen of speciale hardware. Door SAP HANA-implementaties te ondersteunen, helpt Red Hat Virtualization klanten met het consolideren van fysieke hardware om IT-uitgaven te verlagen zonder operationele capaciteit of functionaliteit te verliezen.
