Hoofddorp, 3 februari 2016 – Riverbed Technology, marktleider in applicatieperformance-infrastructuur, heeft er twee nieuwe aanwinsten bij. Phil Harris wordt senior vicepresident en Chief Strategy Officer, Subbu Iyer is aangesteld als senior vicepresident en Chief Marketing Officer. Beiden werken in deze nieuwe functie direct onder CEO Jerry M. Kennelly.
Harris komt van BMC Software, waar hij als Chief Technology Officer verantwoordelijk was voor de transformatiestrategieën op het gebied van business, technologie en bedrijfsgroei. Bij Riverbed zal hij de continue groei en transformatie van het bedrijf helpen ondersteunen, onder andere door advies te geven over techniek op de lange termijn en de businessstrategie.
Iyer was hiervoor senior vicepresident Global Product Marketing van EMC. Hier richtte hij zich op dataopslag, converged infrastructuur, big data en hybride-cloudoplossingen. Ook hij zal de groei van Riverbed ondersteunen en het bedrijf helpen verder uit te breiden naar nieuwe markten.

Previously, he spent five years at HP Software in a variety of roles, including as a leader in HP’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Business where he oversaw products, go-to-market and operations for a $1B software business. Before HP, he was CMO at OpenClovis (open source high availability and system management), and also held management positions at Oracle, VERITAS Software, and several startups in the software industry.
Iyer holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
