Executive brings 25+ years channel leadership experience to scale and grow the EMEA region

Riverbed Technology, the leader in application performance infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Chris Elsmore, who joins the company as Vice President Channel Sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Elsmore will be responsible for leading the Riverbed® channel sales team and driving Riverbed’s partner strategy, execution, and strategic sales programs in the region. He will report to Kristian Thyregod, Senior Vice President, EMEA.
Elsmore has over 25 years of industry knowledge and international expertise in successfully running strategic partner programs and go-to-market strategies for both global enterprise organisations and start-up companies. He has lived and worked in EMEA, Asia and the US managing indirect channel sales across multiple geographies and teams. Elsmore joins Riverbed from Guidewire Software, where he was Vice President Global Alliances & Business Development, responsible for partners worldwide and business development. Prior to this, Elsmore held global and regional senior channel leadership roles with Panopticon Software, SAP Business Objects, and i2 technologies.
