on its PRIMEPOWER servers
Enhanced security, performance and scalability features on hardware platform is ideal combination for Business Critical Computing environments
Maarssen, June 12, 2000 - Fujitsu Siemens Computers today announced the immediate worldwide availability of the Solaris 9 Operating Environment
(OE) on its SPARC64 GP-based PRIMEPOWER range of servers for Business Critical Computing. The enhanced security, performance and scalability of Solaris 9 OE and its ability to better use additional CPU resources are an excellent match to PRIMEPOWER's highly scalable systems. The combination will further consolidate Solaris OE 's position as the leading operating environment in the UNIX market space.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is committed to meeting the needs of Business Critical Computing in the data center, particularly for mission-critical applications such as SAP's mySAP.com and Oracle applications.
