Utrecht, 25 juni 2015 – Commvault (Nasdaq: CVLT) is voor het vijfde achtereenvolgende jaar door Gartner gepositioneerd als Leider in het Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup Software & Integrated Appliances.
Dit kwadrant heeft betrekking op de ontwikkeling van enterprise-back-up en omvat “nieuwe producten, oplossingen en technieken voor het beschermen, back-uppen en herstellen van fysieke- en virtuele-serverbestanden, applicaties, systeemimages en endpoint devices. Volgens Gartner beschikken Leiders in dit Magic Quadrant over “de beste gecombineerde mogelijkheden en een complete visie. Zij beschikken over de meest complete en meest schaalbare productportfolio’s. Zij hebben een bewezen trackrecord als gevestigde marktpartij en voor wat betreft financiële prestaties. Op het gebied van visie worden ze in de sector beschouwd als thought leaders en werken ze met goed onderbouwde plannen voor het uitbreiden van recovery-mogelijkheden, het verbeteren van het gebruiks- en beheergemak, en het uitbreiden van schaalbaarheid en breedte van de producten. The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup Software and Integrated Appliances covers the evolution of enterprise backup, incorporating “new products, solutions and techniques for protecting, backing up and recovering physical server and virtual server files, applications, system images, and endpoint devices. These backup products provide features such as traditional backup to tape, backup to random-access media (disk, flash, etc.) or devices that emulate the previous backup targets (e.g., virtual tape library [VTL]), data reduction (compression, deduplication, single instancing, etc.), snapshot, heterogeneous replication and continuous data protection (CDP).”
