Ericsson today announced the introduction of its newest tool in the
TEMS(TM) CDMA2000 portfolio at the 3G World Congress in Hong Kong. TEMS DriveTester is a real-time measurement tool used to isolate trouble spots in a CDMA2000 network. With this tool, Ericsson enhances its portfolio of real-time measurement tools available for verification of CDMA2000 networks.
As networks expand, TEMS DriveTester helps operators identify and verify trouble spots, ensuring optimal performance of their networks for customer satisfaction. Installed in a vehicle, TEMS DriveTester consists of a vehicle computer that supports simultaneous connection to a phone and a scanner. A simple touch screen interface allows the user to easily access any display view within the entire application. Key features of TEMS DriveTester include auto-dialing from the display, audio alarms, and quick and easy presentation views including CDMA2000 1X information. Another important feature is the freeze functionality that allows the user to take a closer look at a particular view while still collecting data.
"Ericsson offers operators an end-to-end solution for CDMA2000, including products that enable them to optimize network performance and capacity," said Larry Brittain, Vice President of Business Management for Ericsson Mobile Systems CDMA. "Operators need to quickly identify and verify trouble spots as they occur to ensure optimal performance for their customers, and Ericsson's portfolio of TEMS CDMA2000 products ensures that they have the best tools for the job."
Included in the TEMS CDMA2000 portfolio are tools such as TEMS Indoor, TEMS cdmaPlanner, TEMS Investigation CDMA, TEMS DeskCat and TEMS cdmaTransporter. With this robust suite of tools, operators will be able to design, analyze and optimize network performance across all aspects of their CDMA2000 network, from indoor sites through to the transport network.
