EXIN, the global independent certification institute for ICT-professionals, launched its unique Workforce Readiness Program today at the EXIN Congress 2014 ‘Changing World, Changing Professionals’. The EXIN Workforce Readiness Program validates the competences of ICT professionals and is based on the e-Competence Framework (e-CF). The program is available for professionals and organizations from today.
Know who you hire
With the Workforce Readiness Program EXIN respond to the demands of international business. Professionals are increasingly being matched with a specific job role on the basis of the required competences, and not solely on their knowledge and experience. This means companies can match their demand and the supply of professionals.
EXIN’s Workforce Readiness Program offers four services ranging from an easy-to-perform self-scan to fully independent certification. Each assessment is based on knowledge (diplomas, certifications), attitude (soft skills) and skills (practical experience). This provides employers with an objective handle to put the right people in the right place. It enables professionals to define their e-competencies, providing an understanding of their qualities and helping them with the next step in their personal development.
40 competences, one goal
In order to identify the competences of ICT professionals, the European Commission has developed the
e-Competence Framework (e-CF). This framework consists of 40 e-competences that play an important role in ICT. The e-CF is a common language that businesses can use the language to specify their requirements, while trainers can use it to fine-tune their programs. Professionals can use the e-CF to make their knowledge and skills transparent. EXIN was involved in the e-CF from its inception. This unique approach has resulted in this innovative Workforce Readiness Program.
EXIN has been using its expertise to identify the competences of ICT professionals since 1984. Bernd Taselaar, CEO of EXIN: “The demand for objective assessment tools is answered by our Workforce Readiness Program. With this innovative service we support companies to match professionals adequately with their specific job role.”
