Het Modulus Node.js en MongoDB cloud-platform is ontworpen om de ontwikkeling van apps te vereenvoudigen en te versnellen. Deze apps zijn schaalbaar, altijd verbonden, worden constant gemonitord en verbeterd voor de beste ervaringen bij zowel bedrijven als consumenten. Het Modulus-platform is bij uitstek geschikt voor real-time SaaS, mobile-, social- en Big Data-apps die draaien op verschillende devices. Het platform kan probleemloos grote datastromen aan dankzij de ingebouwde prestatiemonitoring en -analysemogelijkheden.
Het Modulus-platform wordt aangeboden als hosted service en kan tevens worden ingezet door grote bedrijven in publieke, private en hybride clouds alsook binnen een on-premise infrastructuur. Modulus Enterprise is de eerste en enige enterprise Node.js PaaS die beschikbaar is als gelicentieerde uitgave. Hierdoor zijn bedrijven en ISV’s in staat om moderne apps sneller en tegen lagere kosten te gebruiken. Met Modulus wordt het mogelijk om meer tijd te besteden aan het creëren en vernieuwen van apps en minder tijd kwijt te zijn aan de uitrol van de infrastructuur.
Modulus is opgericht in 2012 een heeft ruim 450 klanten van verschillende grootten. Modulus wordt gezien als leider in de Node.js-community. Progress zal de rol binnen deze community voortzetten en uitbreiden. De kerntechnologieën die ondersteund worden door Modulus zijn de snelst groeiende binnen de industrie. Node.js is ontworpen voor het eenvoudig bouwen van kwalitatieve, schaalbare netwerkapplicaties door gebruik te maken van de alomtegenwoordige Javascript-programmeertaal. MongoDB is het leidende NoSQL-databasesysteem en staat garant voor schaalbaarheid, prestaties en hoge beschikbaarheid.
Met de toevoeging van de Modulus-mogelijkheden aan het PaaS-portfolio, kan Progress nu een allesomvattend aanbod leveren van cloud-, mobile-, hybride en on-premise ontwikkeling, data- en business rules-technologieën.
