Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure helpt organisaties met het bouwen en beheren van een private IaaS cloud, die is gebaseerd op datacentervirtualisatie en management-technologieën voor traditionele workloads. In
versie 4.0 integreert Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure de producten Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Red Hat CloudForms, Red Hat’s open hybride cloud management-oplossingen en het Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform. Hierdoor kunnen klanten een geïntegreerde open private cloud bouwen, de eerste stap op weg naar de realisatie van een open hybride cloud. Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure wordt gebruikt door wereldwijde enterprise-klanten, waaronder: Nanyang Technological University. De technische universiteit in Singapore zet Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure in om een hybride cloud-architectuur te bouwen voor hun High Performance Computing Center. Ze wilden een hybride cloud waarmee ze zowel een private als een publieke cloud kunnen gebruiken en integreren, terwijl gebruikers hun data in private storage veilig kunnen opslaan.
