Alcatel-Lucent snelst groeiende Data Center Switching-leverancier derde kwartaal

• Alcatel-Lucent is in het derde kwartaal 2012 31 procent in omzet gegroeid met haar Data Center Ethernet switching portfolio ten opzichte van het kwartaal ervoor, terwijl de

markt slechts 0,7 procent groeide

• Met Data Center Switching-oplossingen weet Alcatel-Lucent steeds meer tevreden klanten aan zich te binden
• De groei werd onder andere veroorzaakt door de sterk toenemende verkoop van de OmniSwitch 10K, een onderscheidende en ‘award winning’ oplossing van Alcatel-Lucent

Alcatel-Lucent was the fastest growing Data Center Switching vendor in Q3’2012 

At a glance:

• Alcatel-Lucent saw 31 percent quarter-to-quarter growth in Data CenterEthernet switch revenue while market saw only 0.7% growth

In the Infonetics Research report “Data Center Network Equipment, Quarterly Worldwide and Regional Market Share Size and Forecast, 3Q12”, issued Dec. 10, 2012, Alcatel-Lucent, with its award winning Data Center Switching solution outperformed all other vendors, with revenue growing almost 31% from Q2’2012, compared to a market growth of just 0.7%.   

According to Sam Barnett, Directing Analyst for Data Center and Cloud, Infonetics Research, “Alcatel-Lucent has the top spot among its competitors in terms of percentage revenue growth quarter-over-quarter worldwide in Q3’2012. Only one other vendor saw double digit growth from Q2 to Q3, with the rest in the low single digits or even negative.”

“While the rest of industry grew at an average of less than one percent, we are at a double digit pace and we attribute that to the quality and breath of offerings we are able to deliver to our customers,” said, Stephane Robineau, General Manager, Networks Business at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise. “We’re pleased that we’ve been able to perform so well in this tough economy.  As enterprises continue to expand their networks, they are seeking solutions that optimize performance, reduce complexity and most importantly provide a seamless user experience. The worldwide growth we have seen in Q3 in data center and cloud categories indicates that our solutions are important for our customers as they continue to build and expand their networks.”
