Amsterdam, 3 januari 2013 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, kondigt vandaag aan dat SourcePool Europe BV, gespecialiseerd in flexibele datacenter infrastructuuroplossingen, haar “Infrastructure as a Service” platform heeft gemigreerd naar Red Hat Enterprise Linux en Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization. Door deze migratie kan SourcePool haar klanten meer mogelijkheden bieden en helpen kosten te besparen.
SourcePool beschikt over een modern cloud delivery center dat gevestigd is in Rotterdam en van waaruit dynamische IT-oplossingen worden geboden. Sinds kort levert SourcePool, als onderdeel van haar "Cloud for Business" initiatief, een business continuity dienst gericht op middelgrote organisaties. Daarbij worden backup en disaster recovery functionaliteiten voor complexe gevirtualiseerde systeem infrastructuren, vanuit de cloud als dienst aan klanten ter beschikking gesteld.
De combinatie van Red Hat Enterprise Linux en Red Hat Enterprise Virtutalization biedt een rendabele, flexibele en goed presterende oplossing met een betrouwbaar en betaalbaar abonnement voor onderhoud en ondersteuning. SourcePool verwacht dat organisaties door het gebruik van Red Hat in tegenstelling tot andere oplossingen kosten kunnen besparen aangezien die alternatieven vaak gepaard gaan met hoge kosten voor licenties en een gebrek aan schaalbaarheid.
