Amsterdam, 25 september 2012 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, staat op de vierde plaats in de lijst van meest innovatieve bedrijven ter wereld van
Forbes magazine.
Forbes erkent Red Hat als een van ‘s werelds meest innovatieve bedrijven vanwege “het idee dat transparantie en samenwerking het hele bedrijf stimuleert.”

Forbes heeft de bedrijven gerangschikt via een “Innovation Premium” die de cashflow, verwachte groei en de huidige marktkapitalisatie meet. Om te worden opgenomen in de lijst moeten bedrijven een marktwaarde hebben van meer dan $10 miljard, tenminste 2,5 procent van de omzet aan R&D besteden en zeven jaar de financiële cijfers openbaar maken. Volgens Forbes, “Hoe goed bedrijven mensen, processen en filosofieën kunnen beïnvloeden onderscheidt de beste van de klas van de op een na beste als het gaat om het levend houden van innovatie en het jaar na jaar bieden van vernieuwing.”
