RED HAT SUMMIT, BOSTON – 4 mei 2011 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), marktleider in opensourceoplossingen, kondigt vandaag “Red Hat Cloud, HP Edition” aan. Een privé-cloud reference architecture die cloudoplossingen van Red Hat combineert met HP CloudSystem, HP Cloud Maps en technologiediensten. Hierdoor kunnen klanten Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) clouds bouwen.

De nieuwe Red Hat Cloud HP Edition-oplossing - die klanten helpt IaaS-clouds te creëren - bouwt voort op Red Hat Cloud Foundations die de toonaangevende technische oplossingen van Red Hat combineert, waaronder Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, JBoss Enterprise Middelware en Red Hat Network Satellite. Het schaalbare en robuuste ontwikkelaar-/applicatie-ecosysteem dat door Red Hat Enterprise Linux wordt geleverd, maakt het een aantrekkelijk besturingsplatform om applicaties in de cloud te laten draaien. Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization is ontworpen om de uitdagingen ten aanzien van de prestaties, beveiliging en Quality of Service (QoS) het hoofd te bieden en te voldoen aan de eisen van enterprises. Red Hat Network Satellite vereenvoudigt de levering en distributie van virtuele appliances.
Het nieuwe aanbod omvat diverse elementen van HP's Hybrid Delivery Cloud-oplossingen, waaronder HP CloudSystem Matrix. HP CloudSystem Matrix biedt HP Cloud Maps, die rechtstreeks kunnen worden geïmporteerd in de client cloudomgevingen, waardoor ze sneller een catalogus van clouddiensten kunnen samenstellen. HP Cloud Maps zijn beschikbaar voor Red Hat-omgevingen die opereren op Red Hat Enterprise Linux en JBoss Enterprise Middleware. De HP Cloud Map voor JBoss Enterprise Middleware omvat een template om de infrastructuur provisioning en deployment voor JBoss Enterprise Middleware te automatiseren.
De oplossing omvat diensten van Red Hat en HP Technology Consulting om klanten te helpen cloudomgevingen te ontwerpen, implementeren en ondersteunen, waaronder HP Cloud Consulting en Infrastructure Services, HP Cloud Discovery Workshop, HP Cloud Roadmap Service Cloud en HP Design Service.
