Amersfoort, 8 december 2010 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), marktleider in opensourceoplossingen kondigt vandaag JBoss Enterprise BRMS 5.1 aan. De nieuwe open source business rules oplossing maakt een snelle besluitvorming mogelijk. Het opstellen en het veranderen van business rules is stukken eenvoudiger geworden en hierdoor kunnen enterprise applicaties sneller reageren op veranderingen in de markt.
‘Business rules systems vormen een cruciale factor voor bedrijven die hun concurrentiepositie willen verbeteren en hun omzet verhogen’, zegt Craig Muzilla, vice president middleware bij Red Hat. De functionaliteit van deze architectuur biedt een bedrijf de mogelijkheid de onderliggende regels aan te passen van functies zoals bijvoorbeeld: real time insurance quotes, automatische kortingen en frequent buyers programma’s.
JBoss Enterprise BRMS omvat een snelle en efficiënte rule engine en rules development tools die makkelijk te gebruiken zijn. Voor een business analist wordt het daardoor gemakkelijker de business rules - die zijn gecodeerd in de IT-applicatie-infstructuur - te bekijken en te beheren. Business analisten, SOA- en applicatie-ontwikkelaars kunnen nagaan of de gecodeerde regels het gedocumenteerde business beleid daadwerkelijk implementeren. Dankzij JBoss Enterprise BRMS 5.1 zijn bedrijven minder tijd kwijt aan het updaten van applicaties. Daarnaast is het mogelijk bedrijfsprocessen te voorzien van de laatste business rules waardoor nog meer flexibiliteit wordt geboden.
Onlangs heeft de financiële dienstverlener LaSer Nederland (LSN) JBoss Enterprise Middleware geïmplementeerd. LSN is onderdeel van Laser Group waarvan Galeries Lafayette en BNP Paribas aandeelhouder zijn. JBoss Solution Partner ISAAC creëerde een architectuur die meer dan 30 websites integreerde die informatie verstrekken over LSN’s dienstenportfolio, zoals op maat gemaakte programma’s voor de financiering van overnames, kredietproducten, (co-branded) Visa credit cards, klantkaarten en online loyalteitsprogramma’s.
‘Vanwege het succes van het middleware platform dat we voor LSN hebben gebouwd op basis van JBoss Enterprise Middleware leggen we nu de JBoss Enterprise BRMS-oplossing bovenop de architectuur om een Interactief Voice Response (IVR) systeem te creëren waar ruim vier miljoen klanten van kunnen profiteren. Het biedt LSN tevens meerdere mogelijkheden om transacties te verwerken en real-time beslissingen te nemen om hun business te verbeteren’, aldus Friso Geerlings, chief technology officer bij ISAAC. ‘Met JBoss Enterprise BRMS zijn we in staat de flexibiliteit te bieden die LSN nodig heeft om hun bedrijf naar het volgende niveau te brengen.’
Nieuwe functionaliteiten van JBoss Enterprise BRMS 5.1 zijn:
- een foundation in de JBoss Open Choice Strategy, voortbouwend op een breed scala aan rules authoring en ontwikkeling, deployment, en management opties;
- verbeteringen in productiviteitstools die gemakkelijk te gebruiken zijn;
- vereenvoudigde rules services publication van applicaties, SOA en cloud deployments;
- prestatieverbeteringen;
- een technologische preview van complexe event processing (CEP) mogelijkheden.
