New York, NY and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, June 22, 2010 – BWise, the global leader in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) management software, announced today that one of Europe’s leading telecom operators, Tele2, has implemented and is live with the BWise GRC platform. Tele2 selected BWise to aid in embedding its internal audit and compliance management processes into more than 150 legal entities. The objective of the project was to implement a collaborative GRC platform to create more transparency, systematically follow up on all issues and action plans and reuse test results in the different entities and countries. The ultimate goal of the initiative was to compare internal control performance across markets.With BWise, Tele2 is able to not only test its compliance across all its different entities and involve top management, but group policy owners can now also see results immediately and take action if necessary. The first step of the project was to test
compliance with financial reporting and internal control policies. When this proved to work well, other departments at Tele2 became interested.
