Riverbed, de IT-infrastructuur performance company, heeft Edward Chapman onlangs aangesteld als vicepresident voor cloud storage acceleration products. Met zijn uitgebreide kennis over datacenter-storage en ervaring op het gebied van productontwikkeling neemt hij de leiding over de Riverbed-productlijn voor cloud storage acceleration
Voordat Chapman in dienst trad bij Riverbed was hij vijftien jaar werkzaam bij Cisco Systems waar hij zich bezighield met productmarketing. In deze periode was hij als vicepresident verantwoordelijk voor de acquisitie- en storage-strategie binnen de Server Access en Virtualization Unit. Daarvoor was Chapman verantwoordelijk voor Cisco’s totale storage-netwerkpotfolio, inclusief de MDS-productlijn. Verder heeft hij de Cisco’s Pioneer Award voor Technical Excellence ontvangen voor zijn werkzaamheden met betrekking tot Catalyst 6000.
