(NYSE: RHT), marktleider in opensourceoplossingen, kondigt vandaag een uitbreiding aan op Amazon Web Services LLC om bedrijven te voorzien in een efficiëntere manier om kosten te verlagen, te innoveren en de flexibiliteit te verbeteren met cloud computing. Amazon Web Services is de eerste Red Hat Premier Certified Cloud Provider die klanten in staat stelt hun Red Hat Enterprise Linux abonnement gemakkelijk uit te breiden naar de cloud via Red Hat Cloud Access.
Met Red Hat Cloud Access kunnen klanten hun Red Hat Enterprise Linux abonnementen verplaatsen tussen traditionele on-premise servers en Amazon Web Services. Hierdoor kunnen klanten de juiste computing middelen selecteren voor hun specifieke behoeften.
Red Hat introduceert ook nieuwe functies waardoor bedrijven kunnen profiteren van de voordelen van Amazon Web Services:
- De nieuwste versie van Red Hat Enterprise Linux is beschikbaar op Amazon EC2 als de traditionele on-premise versie. Hiermee wordt consistentie geboden tussen on- en off-premise gebruik.
- Gestandaardiseerde 32-bit en 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux afbeeldingen, die cloud-specifieke content bevat zoals het creëren van afbeeldingen van een specifiek manifest en certificaten, zijn beveiligd met behulp van SELinux en een firewall.
- Continue levering van updates voor Red Hat Enterprise Linux binnen Amazon Web Services.
