Jos Streppel new Chairman of KPN Supervisory Board

Jos Streppel, the current Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Royal KPN N.V., will succeed Ton Risseeuw as Chairman. Mr. Risseeuw has announced that he wishes to step down as Chairman effective as of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) 2010. Mr. Risseeuw will remain a member of the Supervisory Board.

Mr. Streppel was appointed as member of the Supervisory Board of KPN on May 12, 2003 and his current (second) term expires in 2011. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Streppel is a member of the Supervisory Board of Van Lanschot N.V. , Chairman of the Monitoring Committee Corporate Governance Code and member of the Board of Duisenberg School of Finance and Holland Financial Center. Mr. Streppel is a Dutch citizen.

The Supervisory Board and the Board of Management of KPN wish to thank Ton Risseeuw for his dedication and personal commitment to the company as Chairman. Under his Chairmanship, KPN has become one of the most efficient and successful telecom companies in Europe.

Mr. Risseeuw was first appointed to the Supervisory Board on May 2, 2001, and has been Chairman since September 10, 2001.
