Rotterdam, 11 november 2009 – NETGEAR, Inc. (NASDAQGM: NTGR) wereldwijd vooraanstaand leverancier van innovatieve netwerkoplossingen, kondigt vandaag aan dat de CG3000 Wireless-N Voice/Data Cable Gateway voor kabelexploitanten de DOCSIS 3.0 en PacketCable 1.5 certificatie heeft ontvangen in CableLab Certification Wave 70. Een DOCSIS 3.0 certificatie vereist de ondersteuning van tenminste vier bonded channels downstream en vier bonded channels upstream. De CG3000 overtreft deze minimale eis met acht bonded channels downstream. De datasnelheden van maximaal 320 Mbps downstream en 120 Mbps upstream maken het voor kabelexploitanten mogelijk om extreem hoge internetsnelheden en diensten te kunnen bieden. Deze snelheden en diensten zijn hiermee een van de meest geavanceerde producten die momenteel beschikbaar zijn voor kleine en middelgrote zakelijk klanten (MKB).

NETGEAR’s gecertificeerde CG3000 Cable Gateway maakt het voor Internet Service Providers (ISPs) mogelijk om ongekende snelheden te bieden op een Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) breedband netwerk, evenals de levering van twee voice lines. De dynamische CG3000 is met het Internet Protocol versie 6 (IPv6) klaar voor de toekomst. Daarnaast is deze met terugwerkende kracht ook compatible met DOCSIS 2.0 en DOCSIS 1.1. De CG3000 gateway ondersteunt het beheer op afstand, eenvoudige plug-in installatie en post-installatie beheer met Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). Het biedt zowel Gigabit Ethernet en 802.11n WiFi zodat gebruikers kunnen profiteren van hoge snelheid WAN en LAN verbindingen.
