Amersfoort, 17 augustus 2009 – Red Hat, marktleider in opensourceoplossingen, heeft vandaag de winnaars van de jaarlijkse ‘Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) of the Year’ wedstrijd aangekondigd. De winnaars zijn naast harde werkers ook ervaren en innovatief. Ze gebruiken de RHCE-vaardigheden om complexe technische problemen op te lossen en bij te dragen aan het succes van hun bedrijf.
‘De winnaars hebben dit jaar alles uit de kast gehaald om waarde aan hun organisatie toe te voegen. Ze hebben hierbij gebruik gemaakt van hun kennis van Red Hat Enterprise Linux en andere Red Hat-technologieën’, zegt Randy Russell, directeur certificering bij Red Hat. ‘Namens de meer dan 40.000 RHCE’s in 152 landen ter wereld, feliciteer ik de winnaars met hun prestatie.’
De ‘RHCE of the Year’-winnaars zijn:
1. Bernard Chew, Singapore, network administrator bij muvee Technologies
2. Alex Davies, Europa, IT engineer bij PartyGaming
3. Sebastián Gonzalez, Latijns Amerika, infrastructuurspecialist bij EDS
4. John Rose, Noord-Amerika, systeemanalist bij de Iowa State University
5. Balaji Sirasani, India, quality assurance engineer bij Computer Associates
Sandor Klein, regional manager Benelux, hoopt volgend jaar een Nederlandse winnaar te kunnen feliciteren. ‘In Nederland worden er steeds meer engineers gecertificeerd. Door het bieden van de gewenste kennis en praktische informatie tijdens onze hands-on trainingen bereiden we engineers voor op de praktijk.’
