Hilversum, 9 juli 2009– Met de introductie van Release 2 van de UNIVERGE SV8000 serie communicatie servers van NEC Philips, is de functionaliteit die deze oplossing de hotelmarkt biedt sterk uitgebreid. De nieuwe serie is bij de lancering al zeer enthousiast ontvangen door de hotel branche. Dankzij de uitgebreide functionaliteit van deze nieuwe release kunnen organisaties nog meer profiteren van een oplossing die naadloos aansluit op hun specifieke bedrijfsvoering en waarmee de kwaliteit van dienstverlening aan gasten verder wordt verbeterd.
Functies als check-in /check-out, de kamerstatus (beschikbaar, bezet, etc.), het tonen van de naam van de gast op het LCD-display van het toestel, het instellen van wake up calls en kostenregistratie en facturering werden al ondersteund door de eerste release van de SV8000 serie. Met Release 2 kunnen klanten nu ook gebruik maken van de complete Hospitality portfolio oplossingen van NEC Philips, zoals Internet revenue management en XML applicaties op telefoontoestellen.
Hotels stellen hoge eisen aan hun communicatie systemen, die naadloos moeten integreren met onder andere hun PMS (Property Management Systeem). De combinatie van enerzijds robuustheid, “plug en play” installatie en eenvoud en anderzijds de vele integratiemogelijkheden die de SV8100 standaard biedt, maken de oplossing uitermate geschikt voor de hotelbranche. Bovendien is de geïntegreerde Voicemail/Unified Messaging oplossing ideaal voor gebruik in de hotelomgeving.
Vele vooraanstaande hotels en hotelketens in Nederland maken al gebruik van de Hospitality communicatie oplossingen van NEC Philips. Tot deze behoren alle Hilton hotels in Nederland en het Tulip Inn Hotel in Delft.
