Hilversum, 31 maart 2009 – De gemeente Cranendonck investeert in betere bereikbaarheid van haar medewerkers en heeft NEC Philips geselecteerd als leverancier van een hoogwaardige op IP gebaseerde communicatie oplossing. Zetacom, een gecertificeerde business partner van NEC Philips zal de oplossing implementeren en onderhouden. De gemeente Cranendonck is in 1997 ontstaan door samenvoeging van de gemeenten Budel en Maarheze en telt ruim 20,000 inwoners.
De Brabantse gemeente beoogt hiermee een toekomstvaste communicatie-omgeving in te richten die de bereikbaarheid van de medewerkers voor de burgers verder verhoogt en de effectiviteit van de medewerkers optimaliseert. De openbare aanbesteding hiervoor is gewonnen door Zetacom dat een oplossing bood, gebaseerd op de nieuwe SV8300 communicatieserver en veelzijdige Unified Communications oplossing BusinessConneCT van NEC Philips, in combinatie met een nieuw LAN en WAN en ISDN30 van Vodafone.
De aangeboden NEC Philips SV8300 IP communicatieserver zal 160 telefoontoestellen verspreid over 6 locaties bedienen. Medewerkers gaan voorts gebruikmaken van BusinessConneCT Employee, een applicatie waarbij heel eenvoudig vanaf een PC alle communicatie inclusief telefoonverkeer bediend kan worden. Medewerkers krijgen hierdoor inzicht in elkaars aanwezigheid, hebben toegang tot uitgebreide telefoongidsmogelijkheden, kunnen onderling chatten en nog veel meer.

Naast telefonie wordt ook een nieuw LAN en WAN ingericht. Zetacom zal dit samen met Vodafone/TNF als managed service leveren, waarbij Vodafone/TNF ook zorg draagt voor de gewenste ISDN-30 PSTN bundel op basis van glasvezel.
