Hilversum, 15 december 2008 - NEC Philips Unified Solutions (NEC Philips) maakt vandaag bekend meer dan 100.000 gebruikerslicenties verkocht te hebben van haar MA4000 communicatienetwerk beheeroplossing. Het aantal geleverde MA4000 licenties is over de afgelopen maanden sterk gestegen sinds de introductie van Release 7.0.
Hans van Os, Product Marketing Manager bij NEC Philips, licht toe: “Onze klanten zijn zeer te spreken over de uitgebreide functionaliteit en het gebruiksgemak van deze applicatie. We verwachten dat de verkopen verder gestimuleerd zullen worden door de recente introductie van Release 7.2 van MA4000 in november, onder meer omdat deze nieuwste versie ook zogenaamde free numbering functionaliteit ondersteunt. Dit maakt het mogelijk voor netwerkbeheerders om toestelaansluitingen makkelijk van een platform naar een ander platform over te hevelen.”
Van Os voegt hieraan toe dat uit de verkoopcijfers blijkt dat koppeling van het beheerpakket met databases geen uitzondering meer is en vrij algemeen wordt toegepast. Hij illustreert dit door te onderstrepen dat 20% van alle verkopen tevens de hiervoor benodigde LDAP licenties bevatten.
De MA4000 beheertoepassing munt uit in betrouwbaarheid en gebruiksgemak en biedt alle benodigde faciliteiten voor centraal beheer van een uitgebreid IP netwerk. Het pakket ondersteunt de iS3000, SV7000, 2000 IPS en SV8300 communicatie servers van NEC Philips. De applicatie kan alle servers van een organisatie beheren vrijwel zonder dagelijks noodzakelijke tussenkomst van een netwerkbeheerder. MA4000's ergonomische interface is uitermate gebruikersvriendelijk en kan door beheerders gebruikt worden zonder dat daarvoor uitgebreide training nodig is.
Het aantal geleverde licenties laat zien dat de MA4000 beheertoepassing op alle platforms gebruikt wordt.
