Vergeleken met andere commerciële Linux- distributies en gebaseerd op publieke informatie blijken SUSE Linux Enterprise 9 en 10 de meest gecertificeerde software applicaties te hebben. Ook de belangrijkste enterprise software leveranciers, waaronder Microsoft en SAP AG, geven de voorkeur aan SUSE Linux Enterprise als Linux-platform.
