Brussel, maart 18, 2008 - Double-Take® Software (NASDAQ: DBTK) heeft recentelijk TimeSpring® overgenomen waardoor de mogelijkheden van die producten toegevoegd worden aan het portfolio. Daarnaast breidt Double-Take Software zijn pakket van ondersteunende software uit. Double-Take ondersteunt voortaan ook Microsoft Windows Server 2008.
Doordat steeds meer bedrijven overstappen op Microsoft Windows Server 2008 biedt Double-Take Software nu ook de beste oplossing voor het beschermen van data en applicaties op het nieuwe platform. Daarnaast wordt de functionaliteit voor IPv6 en Transactional NTFS (TxF) uitgebreid.
Ook de overname van TimeSpring brengt nieuwe functionaliteit met zich mee. Nu kan herstel uitgevoerd worden voorbij disaster recovery naar routineuze recovery. Door TimeSpring kan Double-Take nu op granulair niveau herstellen van ieder moment in de tijd.
In december bracht Double-Take ook al Double-Take 5.0 uit. Double-Take 5.0 is het enige disaster recovery-product dat continue datareplicatie combineert met bescherming van de volledige server. Deze combinatie zorgt dat het niet langer nodig is om applicaties, patches en configuraties op de hulpserver te installeren en te onderhouden. Bovendien kan de klant met deze nieuwe functionaliteit van Double-Take 5.0 (Full Server Failover) Double-Take aanwenden voor snelle en eenvoudige migraties. Deze migraties kunnen plaatsvinden tussen verschillende types server-hardware of virtuele machines.
Double-Take zal de nieuwe producten presenteren tijdens Storage Expo op 19 en 20 maart in Brussel. Het bedrijf is te vinden in stand B021. Daarnaast host Double-Take een conferentie onder de naam: Double-Take: the ultimate data protection platform om 12.15 uur in Kamer 2.
