Amersfoort, 13 februari 2008 --- Red Hat, marktleider van open source-oplossingen, maakt bekend haar eerste Red Hat EMEA Partner Summit te zullen houden van 2 tot en met 4 april 2008 in Malaga, Spanje. De bijeenkomst is voor de deelnemers tevens de eerste gelegenheid om Red Hats onlangs aangestelde president en CEO, Jim Whitehurst, te ontmoeten.

Tijdens de Summit zullen de nieuwste technologieën, strategieën, praktijkcases, hands-on training sessies en marktvisies van sleutelfiguren binnen Red Hat centraal staan. De presentaties zijn afgestemd op leden van het Red Hat’s partner ecosysteem, waaronder ISV’s (Independent Software Vendors), integrators, hardware vendors, value added resellers, hosting service providers en distributeurs.
Daarnaast zullen ook technische presentaties worden gegeven, evenals toekomstgerelateerde visies van Red Hat executives, onder wie Jim Whitehurst, Werner Knoblich, vice president EMEA, Scott Crenshaw, vice president Enterprise Linux Business en Sacha Labourey, vice president Engineering, Middleware Business. Bovendien kunnen de deelnemers onderling veelvuldig overleggen met gelijkgestemden en andere leden van het Red Hat ecosysteem. Ook de sleutelfiguren binnen Red Hat zijn steeds aanwezig voor overleg.

De EMEA Partner Summit is een uitstekende gelegenheid voor deze partners om voor het eerst samen te komen.”
De agenda van het evenement zal zich richten op het zakelijke traject, en vooral op de voordelen van marketingprogramma's en recente marktontwikkelingen. Bovendien zal aandacht worden besteedt aan Red Hats infrastructuur, middlewaretechnologie en virtualisatie. Hands-on sessies bieden de mogelijkheid om trainingen te volgen van Red Hat oplossingen zoals, virtualisatie, JBoss ESB platform, SEAM, JBPM en meer.
