‘s-Hertogenbosch, 31 januari 2008 – Siemens PLM Software, een divisie van Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) en aanbieder van software en diensten voor product lifecycle management (PLM), wordt in het Gartner-rapport ‘Magic Quadrant for Product Lifecycle Management, 4Q07’ gepositioneerd in het leiderssegment. Het rapport, dat Gartner publiceerde op 4 januari, verdeelt bedrijven in de PLM-sector in vier categorieën op basis van een evaluatie van de bedrijfsvisie en daadkracht.
“We zijn erg verheugd met onze positie in het leiderssegment”, zegt Tony Affuso, chairman en CEO van Siemens PLM Software. “Dit laat zien dat de integratie van UGS en Siemens goed verloopt, dat we het goed blijven doen in de PLM-markt en dat we ons tegelijkertijd blijven richten op de support van onze klanten. Ook blijven we ons richten op het mogelijk maken van wereldwijde innovatienetwerken, die door de invloed van Siemens alleen nog maar groter en sterker zullen worden.”
Uit het rapport van Gartner: “De leiders in de PLM-markt moeten constant op de hoogte blijven van snelle veranderingen in de markt. Ook zien ze goed wat de PLM-toepassingen in de toekomst kunnen betekenen in de ondersteuning van commerciële activiteiten op productgebied en ze kunnen dit uitleggen aan bedrijven.” Gartner beoordeelde verder de groeikracht van Siemens PLM Software, het product, de sales-activiteiten, de prijzen, het reactievermogen op de markt, en de recente prestaties. Daarnaast beoordeelde Gartner van elk bedrijf de kennis van de markt en de marketing-, sales- en productstrategieën.
