Badhoevedorp, 29 januari 2008 - Met de introductie van de nieuwe VAIO-notebooks richt Sony zich nog sterker op High Definition. Dankzij de krachtige Intel Core 2 Duo processor zijn notebookgebruikers in staat High Definition content te ervaren en zelf te bewerken.
VAIO AR60-serie
Deze notebooks zijn dankzij de geïntegreerde Blu-ray Disc-speler en -brander, een SDRAM-geheugen van 4GB en een harde schijf van 512GB ideaal voor High Definition entertainment. Met de Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 processor (VGN AR61ZU) beschikt deze notebook over voldoende rekenkracht om HD-films te bekijken of HD-beelden te bewerken. Het 17 inch breedbeeld LCD-scherm geeft een Full HD 1080p beeld weer. Ook tv-kijken is mogelijk, dankzij de geïntegreerde DVB-tuner en de bijgeleverde afstandsbediening. Met de HDMI-uitgang is de notebook te koppelen aan HD-televisies voor een nog betere ervaring.
VAIO FZ30-serie
De FZ30-serie beschikt ook over 4GB SDRAM geheugen gecombineerd met de Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 processor. Deze lichtgewicht notebook met magnesium behuizing heeft een 15,4 inch WXGA-scherm. Dit scherm presenteert uitstekend HD-foto’s en -video dankzij de X-black LCD-versterking via twee lampen en zorgt voor een representatieve kleurweergave van 90 procent. Full HD kan worden bewerkt en weggeschreven via de Blu-ray-brander. Deze notebook beschikt ook over een HDMI-aansluiting.
VAIO SZ70-serie
Deze ultradraagbare carbon fibre notebook weegt nog geen 1,8 kilogram en beschikt over een energiebesparend LED-scherm en Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor. Gebruikers kunnen afhankelijk van het gebruik kiezen voor twee grafische standen: of een extra lange batterijduur van meer dan vijf uur of voor enorme grafische presentatiekracht.
VAIO CR30-serie
Bij de CR30-serie ligt het accent op gemak, design en originaliteit. Afhankelijk van het model is er de beschikking over een Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 of T8100 processor. Een 1,3 megapixel webcam is geïntegreerd. Dvd’s en cd’s zijn af te spelen zonder Windows op te starten.
