Rotterdam, 12 maart 2007 — Riverbed, specialist in performance oplossingen voor Wide-area Data Services (WDS), heeft een overeenkomst gesloten met HP. De WDS-oplossingen zijn nu wereldwijd verkrijgbaar als onderdeel van HP’s networking services-portfolio. Onder deze overeenkomst vallen alle WDS-oplossingen, zoals de Steelhead appliance- en de Interceptor-productlijnen.

Zo kunnen we onze toegevoegde waarde aanbieden aan een groter publiek”, aldus Dave Peranich, senior vice president, worldwide sales bij Riverbed. “Deze overeenkomst legt een solide basis voor een snellere time-to-market van de geïntegreerde oplossingen.”
Met de WDS-oplossingen van Riverbed kunnen gedecentraliseerde organisaties, groot of klein, belangrijke problemen overwinnen, zoals een slechte applicatieperformance en inefficiënte brandbreedte op andere locaties. Door de performance van applicaties tussen verschillende sites te verhogen van vijf tot vijftig en in sommige gevallen zelfs honderd keer de oorspronkelijke snelheid, biedt Riverbed’s Steelhead WDS een oplossing hiervoor. Deze bekroonde applicatie helpt bedrijven bij het consolideren van hun IT en het verbeteren van het back-up- en replicatieproces om zo de data-integratie, productiviteit en de samenwerking te verbeteren.
