Business & Decision, the international consulting and systems integration company, specialising in Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management and E-Business, today announced consolidated turnover for 2006 of €142.6 million; a 56% increase against the comparative period for 2005. The Group experienced organic growth of 29% during this period.
Patrick Bensabat, CEO of Business & Decision, commented: “
I am proud to announce that the Business & Decision teams have once again delivered a remarkable performance. 2006 has seen a continuous and profitable growth in turnover. Our desire to build an international Group is reinforced by the distribution of turnover between our countries. We are capitalising on our position as leaders in Business Intelligence and CRM, and focusing on building a value added market model for the short-term in e-business. The building of new strong added-value offerings remains a priority throughout 2007.”
Since 2004, the Group’s position on its expertise and its international development has enabled it to multiply its turnover by more than 2.2. During the last three years (2004-2006), Business & Decision has built an organisation that can adapt to accelerated growth. It has reinforced its ability to replicate its business model outside of France (growth multiplied by 3.8) and it has acquired positions of leadership on its core businesses.
International Growth Multiplied by 3.8 over the Period 2004-2006
- 2006 saw a turning point in the development of the Group outside of France. From a majority presence in Europe, the Group now has locations across four continents: North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. These multiple locations enable the Group to compete for international tenders.
- Business & Decision achieved 38% of its turnover from outside of France during 2006 (114% growth compared to 2005).
- 2006 also saw three major acquisitions outside of France (Mi Services, SyBOR and Cognitis Ibérica), which accounted for €20.9 million in turnover during the 2006 period.
- In February, Business & Decision acquired the consulting and engineering company Cognitis Ibérica in Spain (€2.5 million turnover during 2005).
- In March, Business & Decision strengthened their presence in Great Britain and the United States with the acquisition of Mi Services (€20.24 million turnover during 2005).
- In October, Business & Decision acquired SyBOR, a consulting services company based in Switzerland (€5.6 million turnover during 2005).
Global Group Activity Performance
- Business & Decision has retained its leadership status in its core activities.
- Business Intelligence, the Group’s cornerstone activity generated 58% of turnover for 2006, which reflects a 39% growth against the preceding year.
- CRM activity saw a growth of 67% and accounted for 18% of the 2006 turnover.
- The Group’s e-Business activity represented 16% of the annual turnover for 2006, and accounted for a growth of 80% in relation to 2005.
- The "Enterprise Solutions" offering represented 8% of the turnover, which is a growth of 191% compared to 2005.
The Group’s excellent performance and solid growth are primarily due to the following factors:
- a strong replication of the Business & Decision model outside of France,
- the development of enterprise solutions,
- a constant increase in the number of orders,
- the renewal of important contracts into 2007,
- the securing of new references in Europe and North America,
- the signing of several multi-year contracts exceeding €3 million,
- the reinforcement of strategic partnerships.
Creation of Value
For 2007, Business & Decision has set itself a turnover objective of €180 million pro forma excluding acquisitions. In order to meet this objective, Business & Decision is continuing to foster organic growth in order to expand the company to that of 2,300 employees worldwide.
Business & Decision is going to continue to pursue external growth outside of France throughout 2007.
Patrick Bensabat concluded: "
For the period 2007 to 2009, Business & Decision will standardise its offerings both within and outside of France, develop value throughout its vertical offerings, and acquire e-Business leadership in Europe.”
