Belgrade, Serbia -- May 31, 2006 - Aperto Networks, builder of the world's most advanced WiMAX base stations and subscriber units, announced today that BeotelNet, a leading Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Serbia, has deployed Aperto Networks' WiMAX-class PacketWave(TM) broadband wireless equipment in Belgrade, Serbia.
BeotelNet, a subsidiary of Telefonija, is actively using Aperto's PacketWave point to multipoint broadband wireless system in the licensed 3.5 GHz spectrum. The network is providing full non-line-of-sight (NLOS) coverage across the entire Belgrade metropolitan area.
