Leading technology company launches a new marketing campaign featuring star footballer
Paris, France, May 17, 2006 … Lenovo today announced the launch of a new marketing and advertising campaign. The brand promotion activities will feature Ronaldinho in cooperation with FC Barcelona. The current FIFA1 World Player of the Year was recently named by Lenovo as a worldwide brand ambassador. Building a strong global brand has always been a key strategy for Lenovo and engaging the football star to spearhead the next round of brand campaigns will help boost Lenovo’s brand recognition.

The initial web and print based advertising campaign which began yesterday will appear in 18 countries across Europe and will run until the end of June. The focus products will be the Lenovo 3000 series designed to offer the VSB/SMB market a worry free computing experience. Incorporating the latest technology to allow users to concentrate on their business and not their IT, the Lenovo 3000 series features LenovoCare tools designed to simplify PC ownership.

Lenovo also will shortly announce a business partner contest with a very attractive prize. For the winners, they will get the opportunity to meet Ronaldinho and maybe even watch him play for FC Barcelona. The contest, open to business partners across Europe, Middle East and Africa, will take place during June and July with the trip to Barcelona scheduled for September.
